Heftruck Engelstalig (Forklift) incl. e-learning

Do you need to operate a forklift truck safely and in compliance with Dutch regulations? This 1-day forklift training in English is designed for employees who need to obtain or refresh their forklift certificate. 

The course is practice-based and meets current legal requirements. After completion, you receive an official forklift certificate, valid for 5 years. 

This forklift training in English is suitable for: 

• employees who speak little or no Dutch 

• international workers and expats 

• companies with English-speaking staff 

The course is intended for anyone who needs to work with a forklift in the Netherlands.

• Minimum age: 18 years 

• Basic understanding of English 

For working in the (petro)chemical industry, additional requirements may apply (see SOG section below). 

This forklift course is available as open enrolment at our training locations in Bergen op Zoom and Terneuzen. 

The forklift training in English is available from € 490,- excl. VAT. 

The price includes:

• e-learning module 

• theory exam 

• practical training 

• lunch during the training day 

For in-company training sessions, we provide a tailored price indication, based on the number of participants and the on-site situation. 

This forklift training course combines theory and extensive practical training. The focus is on safe operation, risk awareness and efficient forklift handling in daily work situations.

Theory (via e-learning) 

The theoretical part of the course is completed through an online e-learning module, allowing you to study at your own pace — anytime and anywhere. 

Topics include: 

• Forklift inspection and daily checks Basic maintenance procedures 

• Load weight, load centre and stability 

• Legal responsibilities of the forklift operator 

• Workplace safety rules 

• Risk awareness and hazard prevention 

On the training day, the course starts at 08:00 AM with: 

• a 30-minute Q&A session, followed by 

• the theory exam 

Practical training

• Safe driving techniques 

• Load handling and stacking 

• Use of correct attachments and load carriers 

• Manoeuvring in confined spaces 

• Practical exercises on a custom-designed training track

All learning materials are provided by Jonkman Opleidingen. You do not need to bring a laptop, books or other study materials. 

After successful completion of the course, you will receive the official Jonkman certificate ‘Safe Operation of a Forklift Truck’.

• Validity period: 5 years 

If you need to work with a forklift in the (petro)chemical industry, a SOG forklift certificate is required. 

Jonkman Opleidingen is authorised to provide SOG-compliant forklift training and exams. Please contact us to determine the correct certification route. 

The forklift certificate is valid for 5 years. Both the participant and the training coordinator automatically receive an email reminder three months before the certificate expires.
